Late News.

National '10' Champs
Last weekends '10' Champs at Newbury gave the Club mixed fortunes. Danuta finished 12th in a pleasing 23:38 to Julia Shaw's very rapid 21:49. Peter Weir having been ill for the previous week produced a below par ride for him of 22:14 to Michael Hutchinson's 19:34.

Chris Cockerton
We were very sorry to hear that Derek and Samantha's son Chris had a nasty fall at Hillingdon last Tuesday. Samantha tells me he will be fine but Chris has to have some teeth repaired as well as possible plastic surgery on his lip. We wish Chris a speedy recovery.

Club '10' 28/5/09
Pete Weir seems to have recovered from his virus as he produced the fastest time this year, on the best evening so far at our Club events ,with 21:28. There were a crop of '22's' and '23's' with Chris Heape tantalisingly close to a '21' with 22:01. Most riders took some time off their best this year with Gary Curtis chopping another minute off to record 24:39. It was good to see Mike Trees back in action on one of his new CEEPO bikes at 25:45. Just how good these bikes are is shown by Louise Bardsley's [TVT] 24:53 on her pink CEEPO. She was doing a 28:30 at the start of the season. New comer Lorna White produced a quick 28:06 for a first ever TT.

Paul Richardson keeps a steely grip on the handicap competition with 129 points.
