Track Training

John's running some track training over the Winter. The early sessions are full but he's still taking reserve places.
  • 17th November, 4-6pm (2hrs)
The first session in November is for beginners and intermediates. That's people who may never have been on a Track Bike let alone a Track (beginners) or those who have ridden at Reading, Calshot or Newport only once or twice and would like to repeat the exercise and develop the skills (intermediates).
For this first session the limit has to be 15 riders only so cost will be £12.50 each. Velodrome bikes are available for hire. These use Look pedals which you are NOT allowed to change. If you can't ride Look you will have to ride in toeclips
  • 9th December, 12-4pm (4hrs)
For the second session in December we have a serious chunk of time at 4hrs. I would like to see riders from the first session back for more plus a more regular crowd of experts.
It will have to cost more as we have twice as much time but the limit can be up to 24. I will set a cost later when I see how many riders are coming. For 15 it would have to be £20 per head. For 24 it would be £15 so the more we have up to the limit, the cheaper it gets.

All sessions will need to be paid for in advance by bank transfer or a cheque, I wont take money on the day. Nor will I ask for it this early but I will take your names please and will ask for money with one month to go before the session. I will send bank transfer details to those who ask for them. If you haven't paid with one week to go your place could be forfeit to someone who does pay.
I also plan follow up sessions for January, February and March but can't book them yet because of Newport's 3 month rule.
So, expressions of interest please, for any or hopefully all of the sessions. It would be good to keep the same group going through the winter so that I can plan progressive sessions.
