MDCC Club '10' Championships

All MDCC's '10' Championships were decided last night during our last event of the season on the H10/2 Maidenhead Thicket course. All of our riders came determined to produce a good ride in this last event on our 'fast' course. They were thwarted by a tough head wind out to the turn which seemed to disappear on the return leg making it not much faster on the way back.

Most riders were disappointed by their times except for Robert Tinn who won the Juvenile '10' Championships with his fastest ride ever in 28:03.
Well done Robert.
Robin Smith managed to hold off Simon Greenland for the Senior Championships but Simon who is riding partcularly well at the moment was compensated by winning the new 'on standard' award.
Linda Regel had a challenge from Sue Bennet-Snewin but Sue suffering from a lack of training was well beaten.
Andrew Richardson was content to take the Junior Trophy unopposed.
The winners times are as follows:
Juvenile '10', David Parker Trophy--Robert Tinn 28:03
Junior '10' Cup------------------------Andrew Richardson 27:11
Senior '10', Lee Myall Trophy--------------Robin Smith 23 :09
Ladies '10' Trophy---------------------------Linda Regel 30:27
Vets on standard '10' Trophy------------Simon Greenland 23:24 [+ 05:28 on standard]
All other times on our results page.

The prizes of 2xu compression tights, donated by Mike Trees, for fastest rider under 40 and over 40 went to :
Robin Smith 23:09 [over 40]
Neil Campbell 25:16 [under 40]

Mike will be presenting the prizes at the start of next weeks '10'. Remember it's a 7.15pm start on the Fifield course.
