MDCC Charity '10' Thursday 16th July

The 'Mobility Trust' Ten
We would like to thank all the riders, Club members and helpers that turned out yesterday evening to support and give so generously to our Charity cause this year, 'The Mobility Trust'. Numbers of riders were down probably because of the weather forecast. Our early preparations were thrown slightly into confusion when a large grain lorry drove through the middle of the HQ.
We thought we were going to escape the rain but as the first riders approached the finish the rain started, getting heavier and heavier for the last riders.

The early riders got the best of the conditions, Mark Brewer off No 4 being particularly pleased with his time. The mens race was won by Meurig James [Willesden CC] in 21: 42 and the womens race by one of our most regular competitors, Choc Harris [TVT] in 26:14. Our thanks to them for hanging around in the wet conditions to receive their prizes from Anne Munn, the charities Chief Executive.

We hope to have the final sum raised later in the day.
