MDCC This Weekend- TT's, Sportives and Herne Hill

Club 50 mile TT Championships
Tomorrow is the Club '50' Championships on the A4 course west of Reading. Pete Weir looks to be the favourite after his fast '25' last Sunday, but Joe Francis, Simon Greenland and Ed James are all in with a chance.
With 4 members riding there is also a chance we could win the team prize.
Anthony Maynard Sportive
Shea Hindman and Andrew Payne take part in the first 'Anthony Maynard Sportive' that remembers Reading CC's Anthony Maynard who was killed last year by a van while cycling near Bix.
L'Etape de Tour
On Monday MDCC Club members Neil Campbell and Richard Meaden take part in L'Etape de Tour in France. This year it finishes on the fearsome Ventoux.
We wish them both the best of luck for this gruelling event.
Herne Hill Time Triallists Pursuit Training
Today Paul and Andrew Richardson are both in action at South London's Herne Hill Velodrome. Andrew will be on his bike while Paul is helping with the timing at this pursuit training session for time triallists using TT bikes. They hope to have 40 riders taking part.
This is a similar session to those that we can run at Palmer Park and are extremely valuable in improving speed, cadence and top-end endurance. MDCC Club members would be well advised to attend our sessions to reap similar benefits and see their TT times come down.
