Sunday, September 6th Charity Rides

On Sunday, September 6th there are 3 worthwhile Charity Events that members may be interested in taking part in. All of them will give you more mileage to add to your present Sportive mileages for the MDCC Sportive Trophy awarded at the Club Dinner.

The Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride
This takes place at Stoke, Staffs using the stage route for the Tour of Britain. There are routes at 20km, 70km and 145 km.
Club members Derek Cockerton and Paul Hartigan are taking part as are other local riders. More information on the link below.

The Sue Ryder Cycle Event
This event is raising money for the Sue Ryder Home at Nettlebed, Oxfordshire. It starts and finishes at the Mapledurham Estate outside Reading, with a short family ride of 10 miles or a longer hilly ride through the Chilterns of 30 miles.

We hope to see many of our members taking part in these Charity Events. Don't forget to wear your Club jersey so other riders know that we are supporting these events.
