Rain Stops Some Of The Play

Heavy rain, poor road conditions and poor visibility caused the last minute cancellation of this evenings Club '10' on the Fifield course. This is only the second cancellation in 25 years that Club Secretary, Peter Bell can remember.

About a dozen riders turned up but most looked quite relieved that the decision not to go ahead had been taken. Exception and winner of the 'Club Hard Man of the Night Award' was MDCC's Gary Curtis who went on to ride and time himself over the '10' course.

However the rain didn't prevent Mike Tree's presenting a pair of his highly desirable '2xu Compression Tights' to last week's winners' of the fastest senior and vet award, Neil Campbell and Robin Smith. See caption photo of Neil collecting his prize from Mike.
