Open Event Successes

As well as the superb attendance at the Club's evening 10s, our members have been enjoying success in the Open events around the country.

Rudy Project Round 4
John Woodburn travelling to Devon to mount an effort to regain his national veterans title from Roger Iddles (Stourbridge CC) who punctured partway through. The tricky 27.2 mile circuit had little flat terrain but John completed it in 01:19:49 and first on standard at +3:39.

RTTA TT Championship Table

Hillingdon CC 25 (30 April)
An excellect turn out, with David Marshall just pipping John Woodburn for fourth place overall, finishing in 55:58 and 56:03 respectively. John won the Vets on Std outright at +25:50! Danuta Tinn led the women home in a time of 1:01:24, just clear of Helen Boatman (Finsbury Park CC) in 1:01:33, and helping to secure the team prize for the club.

VTTA (London & HC) 10 (1 May)
Competing on the familiar Knowl Hill H10/2 course, Danuta won the women's event, finishing in 25:27, and Mark Brewer came 14 in 27:49. Good results given they had both completed the 25 only the day before.
