Tony Deadman on the mend

Tony regained conciousness this week and has been moved to Wexham Park ward 4. Still very weak, but great to hear that he's recovering. Danuta and Peter Bell are visiting him, so let them know if you want to pass on a message.

Novice Cycle Training session at Hillingdon

Prime Coaching are holding a Novice Cycle Training session at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit (Springfield Road, Hayes, Middlesex, UB4 0LF) on Saturday 24th May 2008 from 1.30 to approx. 5.30 PM.

The event is for new and returning adult cyclists and the cost is £12, payable in advance.

Committee meeting

The next committee meeting on Tuesday 22nd April is at Danuta's house, starting at 8pm. If there's anything members want to raise in AOB, please email the Club asap.

Tony Deadman

Tony is in Wexham Park hospital after going to his doctor with chest pains. Currently he's in the intensive care unit, but stable. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Please note the revised event list. The A330 through Maidens Green is subject to random road-works until the end of June, so it's a lot easier to change to the Shurlock Row course.
The affects the H10/10 and HCC001 courses.
MTB Ride
Given the forecast for Saturday PM is heavy rain, the beginner's MTB ride on 19th April is cancelled.

As 30th place was tied, I did consider sending Gary and John half a tube each. Fortunately, there was no 40th finisher so they did get a complete inner tube.

Fifield 15 - Course Change

Due to major roadworks in Maiden's Green running until end June, the big loop along the A330/Drift Road cannot be used. The event will go ahead, but use 3 laps of the small loop past the HQ. Start & finish TBC. Note that this will not be valid for records because the emergency course has not been officially measured and is only approximately 15 miles.

Please be aware of the regs on following other riders as it's likely you'll be near other riders of similar pace but on a different lap. Also, a local event regulation is not to overtake within 100 yards of a junction.

This will also affect our Club 10s on 24/4, 1/5 & 8/5 that will be moved to the HCC234 course (police approval pending). Still working on a replacement for the 25s on 4/5 & 1/6 - five laps of the HCC234 looks most likely.
